GUWAHATI: Immunity boosting foods are essential at a time like this when you need to boost your immunity during a pandemic.
Experts have also emphasized the need to consume nutrient-rich foods to keep the novel coronavirus and other diseases at bay.
It is true that foods rich in omega-3s can help improve immunity, and this was recently reiterated by the Indian Food Safety and Standards Agency (FSSAI) when the Food Inspectorate suggested that some of these should Plant foods must be included in the diet.

Here is a list of omega-3-rich natural food products that can help boost immunity:
a) Walnuts: These are high in antioxidants, promote a healthy bowel, help treat type 2 diabetes, and lower blood pressure. It also helps lower harmful cholesterol.
b) Pumpkin seeds: These are rich in antioxidants and help improve prostate and bladder health. High magnesium levels are important for your blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and heart and bone health.
c) Fenugreek leaves: Not only do they help control diabetes and high blood pressure, but they also help prevent heartburn and inflammation.
